Sildenafil Actavis 100mg contains the active ingredient sildenafil, which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by sexual arousal, the relaxation of the blood vessels in your penis supported. This allows blood to flow into the penis. Sildenafil Actavis will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated.

Sildenafil Actavis 100mg Warnings and Precautions:
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or health care professional before taking 100mg Sildenafil Actavis:
if you have sickle cell anemia (an abnormality of red blood cells), leukemia (blood cancer) or multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). In these cases it may be necessary special care when taking medicines for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
if you have a deformity of your penis or Peyronie’s Disease.
if you have heart problems. Your doctor should carefully check whether your heart the extra strain of having sex.
if you currently have a peptic ulcer, or a bleeding disorder (such. as hemophilia) is present.
if you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking Sildenafil Actavis and contact your doctor immediately.
You may not use Sildenafil Actavis with any other oral or local treatments for erectile dysfunction.
You may not use Sildenafil Actavis with sildenafil-containing medicines to treat high blood pressure in the blood vessels of the lungs (pulmonary arterial hypertension, PAH) or by any other PDE5 inhibitors.
You should not take Sildenafil Actavis if you do not have erectile dysfunction.
Women should not take Sildenafil Actavis.
Special considerations for patients with kidney or liver disease
You should tell your doctor if you have a dysfunction of the kidney or liver. Your doctor will decide if a lower dose is needed for you.

100mg Sildenafil Actavis should not be used by persons under 18 years.
Taking Sildenafil Actavis with other medicines

Some patients taking alpha blocker used to treat high blood pressure or prostate enlargement may experience dizziness and drowsiness, which may be caused by low blood pressure upon sitting or standing up quickly. Some patients have experienced these symptoms when taking 100mg Sildenafil Actavis used with alpha-blockers. In most cases this occurs within 4 hours after taking Sildenafil Actavis. To reduce the chance that these symptoms might happen to you, you should take your alpha-blocker in a regular daily dose before taking Sildenafil Actavis. 3 How is it used?

If you take more Sildenafil Actavis than you should
Side effects may occur more frequently and be more severe. Doses greater than 100 mg do not increase the efficacy.

4 What are the possible side effects?
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The side effects, which are described in conjunction with sildenafil are usually mild to moderate and of short duration.
If you experience any of the following serious side effects happen, stop taking Sildenafil Actavis and seek immediate medical attention:
An allergic reaction – is uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 patients treated) include The symptoms: sudden wheeziness, difficulty in breathing or dizziness, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips or throat.
Chest pain occasionally occur If this happens during or after intercourse:

From the experience of post-marketing cases of unstable angina pectoris have been described (heart disease) and sudden deaths often. Most, but not all of the men who experienced these side effects before taking this medicine had heart disease. It is not possible to determine whether these events were directly related to sildenafil.
